Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use this website or book cleaning work from Sparkclean Pro Ltd, trading as Gold Standard Steam Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Quotes

Quotes are without obligation. A quote is based on the rooms, sizes, condition and services you describe; if the property or the job differs materially from that description, we will tell you before starting and agree any change with you. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Booking and access

A booking is confirmed when we agree a date and time with you. You are responsible for providing access at the agreed time, for moving valuable or fragile items out of the working area, and for telling us about anything we need to know, such as delicate fibres, previous treatments or access restrictions.

The work

Work is carried out with reasonable skill and care using methods and products appropriate to the surfaces and fabrics involved. Fibres and colourfastness are tested before cleaning. Some marks cannot be removed by any method, and we will say so; a mark that does not lift is not a failure of the service. Drying times are estimates and depend on the carpet, the room and the weather.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. The price agreed in the quote is the price you pay, unless you ask for additional work on the day, which is agreed and priced before it is done.

Cancellation

You can cancel or move a booking by telling us. Where a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice and we have already travelled to the property, a reasonable call-out charge may apply.

If something goes wrong

Tell us as soon as you notice a problem with the work, and within 48 hours of the visit, so we can look at it and put it right. Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out, except where the law does not allow that limit.
